Built-In Scheduled Tasks

Softerra Adaxes provides built-in Scheduled Tasks for some typical operations such as managing inactive accounts and notifying users, whose passwords or accounts are about to expire.

By default, all built-in Scheduled Tasks are disabled, so they are not effective until you enable them.

Built-in Scheduled Tasks include:

Account Expiration Notifier

This task is used to sends e-mail notifications to users, whose accounts are about to expire, and to managers of those users.

Inactive Computer Deleter

This task is used to purge inactive computer accounts. If a computer is turned off for a specific period, the task requests an approval to disable this computer. If, after that, such computer remains inactive for a certain time, the task requests an approval to delete this computer.

Inactive User Deleter

This task is used to purge inactive user accounts. If a user does not log on to the system for a specific period, the task request an approval to execute the built-in custom command 'Deprovision' on this user. This custom command performs various deporovisioning operations such as: disable the user account, set its password to random value, etc. If, after that, the user remains inactive for a certain time, the task requests an approval to delete this user.

Password Expiration Notifier

This task is used to sends e-mail notifications to users, whose passwords are about to expire.

Self-Password Reset Enroller

This task is used to run a custom script that enrolls users in the Password Self-Service. To use this task, you need to modify the script to work with your data source.

By default, all built-in tasks are assigned on All Objects. If you want a task to be executed on specific AD domains, OUs or groups, you need to modify its activity scope.
