By default, the Adaxes Web Interface allows managing widely-used types of AD objects, such as users, groups, computers, and organizational units. However, if you need to manage other Active Directory or custom object types, you can configure the Adaxes Web Interface for this purpose.
To configure the Web Interface to manage AD objects of a custom type:
Launch the Adaxes Web Interface Configuration Tool on the computer, where the Web Interface is installed.
Windows 7 and earlier:
Windows 8 and 8.1:
Windows 10:
In Interface type drop-down list, select the type of the Web Interface you want to customize.
Select the AD Browsing tab and click Configure Object Types.
In the dialog that opens, select the Show all object types check box in the AD Objects Grid group box and check the object type you need in the list above. Click OK.
Then, select the AD Management tab and click Customize Forms and Views.
In the Forms and Views dialog, click the Add button below, select the object type you need and click OK. The selected object type will be displayed in the Object types list.
Select the tab for the form you want to customize and make necessary modifications. For example, to configure the form for editing objects of the selected type, click the Modify tab.
When finished, click OK and then click Apply.
