With the help of Password Self-Service, users can reset their forgotten passwords and unlock accounts in Active Directory. To access this functionality from the Windows logon and unlock screens, the Adaxes Self-Service Client must be installed.

To grant users access to self password reset from the Winlogon screen, it is necessary to configure Winlogon settings and install the Adaxes Self-Service Client on the computers, where you want to allow self password reset. After that, the link to the Reset Password page of Password Self-Service, appears at the Windows logon and unlock screens. Users can click this command link to reset own passwords in line with the parameters defined by Password Self-Service Policies effective for these users.

Winlogon settings are configured via the Adaxes Administration Console ( Configuration / Password Self-Service / Winlogon). At the same page you can download the Adaxes Self-Service Client.
