Adaxes SPML Provider allows SPML-compliant systems to exchange provisioning data with Active Directory. Adaxes SPML Provider is a web service running by Internet Information Service (IIS). It transforms SPML requests sent by other provisioning services into Active Directory operations or data retrieval queries. For example, when a user account is created in an SPML application, the Add Request is sent to the Adaxes SPML Provider. The Adaxes SPML Provider can be configured to process such requests and transform them into the 'user create' operations in Active Directory.

Using Adaxes SPML Provider, you can provision Active Directory directly or via the Adaxes service. Provisioning Active Directory via the Adaxes service allows you to benefit from the functionality of Softerra Adaxes, such as Business Rules, Security Roles, Property Patterns, etc.
